Day 1 Hometown to New Delhi
Day 2 Cross the Interantional Date Line
Day 3 Arrive New Delhi
Today, you will arrive in New Delhi. Meet and greet at the airport, then to the hotel for a good rest.
Day 4 New Delhi-Patna-Nananda-Rajgir-Bodh Gaya (B/L/D)
Morning transfer to the airport for a flight to Patna. Later drive to Bodh Gaya (6-7 hrs) en route visiting Nalanda –a great center of Buddhist learning and one of the most famed university citadels of ancient times. Then onwards to Rajgir, the ancient capital of the powerful Kingdom of Maghada. From the outskirts of Rajgir, a historic road leads to Gridhakula(Vulture’s Peak) where the Buddha preached and where the first Buddhist council was held after the Lord’s Mahaparinirvana. Upon arrival in Bodh Gaya transfer to the hotel for a good rest.
Day 5 BodhGaya (B/L/D)
Morning visit temples in Bodh Gaya. Situated by the Phalgu River, the village is a complete isolation from the world, dotted with lush green forests, paddy fields and silent scintillating atmosphere. Afternoon visit to Mahabodhi Tmeple, and immense attraction to Buddhists, which stands near the Maha Bodhi tree under which Tathagat, or Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment Evening free for leisure
Day 6 bodh Gaya to Varanasi (B/L/D)
Morning transfer to the Railway-station to connect train #3009 doon Express, leaving at 5:15am, arriving in Varanasi at 10:20am. Afternoon visit Sarnath the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Rest of the day free for leisure.
Day 7 Varanasi to New Delhi(B/L/D/)
Early morning boat cruise on River Ganges to see the bathing Ghats. Come back to hotel for breakfast. Later leave for city tour visiting Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Maas, Banaras Hindu University, etc. Evening transfer to the airport to take a flight to New Delhi and upon arrival check in at hotel.
Day 8 New Delhi to Agra
Morning drive to Agra and upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Later, we will embark on a sightseeing tour which includes a visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the 7 wonders of the world. Agra fort dominated by red sandstone construction and houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and other noteworthy structures. Also visit Itmad-ud-Daulah’s tomb.(Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays)
Day 9 New Delhi (B/L/D)
Morning drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Later leave for half day sightseeing tour of the city, which includes visit to Jama Masjid – the largest mosque of Emperor Shahjahan, drive past Red Fort and the to Raj Ghat-cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi.
Day 10 New Delhi to USA (B)
Morning visit to India Gate a 42 meter stone arch built in the memory of the Indian Soldiers who died in World War 1. Drive past the President’s House and parliament House, Humayun’s tomb (a memorial of the Mughais, its design is inspired by the Taj Mahal), and finally the Qutab Minar. Rest of the day free for leisure. In the evening, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
